The stamp celebrates Sweden's NATO membership

10.4.24

On May 8, Postache will issue a stamp celebrating Sweden's NATO membership. The design of the stamp was started on a fast schedule when the membership was confirmed. The brand was designed by Anssi Kähärä.

"The flags of Sweden and NATO are symbolically intertwined in the sign. The brand is visually impressive, but at the same time the overall look is simple and graphic," describes designer Anssi Kähärä.

Postache published a stamp celebrating Finland's NATO membership in September 2023.

"We said then that we would also celebrate Sweden's membership with a stamp when the country becomes a member of NATO. Glad it worked out. The label will appear in the May publication batch," says Postache's Design Manager Tommi Kantola . He is responsible for selecting the artists for the stamps and directing the artworks.

Throughout history, numerous countries have issued NATO-themed stamps. NATO stamps are also in demand among collectors worldwide.

Sweden's NATO membership stamp has 10 foreign stamps.

On May 8, Postache will publish four stamp publications with a total of 10 different stamps. In addition to Sweden's NATO stamp, other subjects include Kuninkuusravit 100 years, spring holidays and underwater life on Europa stamps.
